Las Piñas City CAReS the main program of Las Piñas City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (LPCADAC) and is a God-centered approach to healing, restoration, and reconciliation of relationships of the persons-in-recovery with God, family and community. It aims to restore dignity and self-worth of the persons-in-recovery in a comfortable, safe, and friendly environment.

The program is composed of motivational counseling, spiritual and moral intervention and social support which includes technical skills, livelihood trainings, educational, sports, arts and cultural programs. Thus, providing them a holistic approach to recovery.

Las Piñas City CARES is designed for a continuum of care from outreach, basic support and eliminate drug abuse for their community reintegration. This program recognizes no “wrong door” for entry into the system. It aims to deliver services in the community as close as possible to where drug users live and aims to minimize disruption of social links and employment. It is integrated into the existing health and social services using community resources, including their families.

This program provides a six (6) month structured Community-Based Rehabilitation and Reformation of persons-in-recovery in Las Piñas City with “Mild to Moderate Substance Use Disorder” as assessed by the City Health Office Doctors accredited by the Department of Health. In addition, the program includes in-depth counseling for the persons-in-recovery and their families administered by trained spiritual and moral intervention teams.
Goals of the Program image
At the end of the structured Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) of LPC-CARES, persons-in-recovery will be able to:
 
  • Express their renewed faith, hope, and moral recovery through their new way of life as observed by their families and neighbors;
  • Live a life with complete deliverance from illegal drugs addiction as affirmed by their families, friends, or community where they belong;
  • Advocate the anti-illegal drug campaign and recovery program of LPC-CARES to help other people to overcome their illegal drugs problems;
  • Demonstrate the new skills they learned from the LPC-CAReS resulting in employment, livelihood, or social link.
Be responsible in the implementation of its mission and vision, objectives, plans, programs, and various operations of Anti-illegal drugs prevention and advocacy education as well as specific program for the rehabilitation and after-care of drug dependents. Collaborate with the law enforcement agencies in curtailing the supply and demand of illegal drugs.

WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR ADMISSION TO LPC-CAReS

  • Voluntary Drug Surrenderers;
  • Drug Surrenderers with pending case but out on bail.

Pre-admission Requirements

  1. Fill-up Profiling Form (DDB IDADIN FORM 6-06) - Board Regulation No. 7 Series of 2006: Data on drug treatment, rehabilitation and aftercare of drug dependents; to be reported quarterly by public and private drug treatment and rehabilitation facilities and accredited physicians.
  2. Drug Dependency Examination (DDE) performed by a DOH accredited Physician.
  3. Affidavit of Waiver

  5. Signed Contract/Condition for Inclusion in the Las Pinas City Community Approach Recovery System (LPC-CARES)

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENTS

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENTS

The program is to be carried out in barangay communities of Las Piñas City. It entails utilization of facilities such as Barangay Halls, sports complex, homes or any appropriate place identified by the LPC-CADAC in coordination with the Barangay Officials.

Rule 1

A contract should be signed by the surrendered before starting the program.

A Pledge of Commitment should be recited on the start of each session.

Clients should wear proper attire during sessions.  Male: White shirt and shorts/pants. No sando.  Female: White shirts and jogging pants. No sleeveless shirts and shorts

Abstinence from alcohol and drugs should strictly be implemented for the whole duration of the program.

Smoking is prohibited. Always be on time.

Strictly no cell phones and other gadgets are allowed during sessions.

Person in Recovery who are enrolled at the Las Piñas City Community Approach Recovery System are required to submit themselves for the mandatory drug testing anytime to make sure that they are no longer involved in the illegal drugs activities while they are in the program under the supervision of CADAC and BADAC.

After completing their 12 Steps Recovery Program, Persons-in-Recovery (PIR) will undergo another 12 weeks for their Social Support Program such as Educational/Skill Enhancement and will be referred to the following Local Government Agencies and NGO’s which will suit them.
